IP (Interactive Publications Pty Ltd) has been in business since 1994 and has been growing rapidly since then. We currently publish 20-24 titles per year by authors and clients from all over Australia and, more recently, New Zealand. We are the second largest publisher of literary titles in Queensland and our publishing program is supported by the Australia Council. We also use our expertise to assist corporate clients who want to publish material in print and/or digital form. Under our Director Dr David Reiter, internationally known for his own poetry, fiction and multimedia, IP is at the forefront of New Publishing in Australia. A lean and mean enterprise, IP succeeds where other small publishers have failed in the key areas of audience development, promotion and distribution. It also champions innovation in its professional and contractual relationships with authors and its dedication to new forms of creative work. IP publishes under four award-winning imprints: Interactive Press, Glass House Books, IP Digital and IP Kidz. The synergy between these imprints allows for digital versions to be created from print masters and vice-versa. IP is confident that the printed book still has a future. So we will continue to publish quality books by the most efficient methods possible, without sacrificing the aesthetics of design and due regard for high editorial standards. But we are also excited by the new technologies, and the opportunities they offer for extending the audiences for literary work. Digital publishing makes it possible to trial work that mainstream publishers reject as non-commercial. But more importantly, it offers artists new media and new forms of expression. The most recent example of IP’s cutting edge approach is our partnership with Lightning Source and BookSurge for print and e-books, CD Baby for audio CDs, and CreateSpace for DVDs. IP also is a member publisher of the Amazon Advantage Program and Google Book Search. These companies give us greater access to global markets for our titles. The new technologies make it easier for our editors and authors to work closely on refining projects even from a distance. Much of what we do happens in a digital environment, saving trees by reducing our dependency on hard copy. We invite you to learn more about us by exploring our web site and of course to show your support for New Publishing and our exciting authors in the best possible way by ordering some of our titles! You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter.
